Monee Bankruptcy Attorney

I love hearing success stories about people who have gone through the bankruptcy process with a Monee bankruptcy attorney and are riding high once again. People often ask me when they come into my office, “Is there life after bankruptcy? Will I ever get credit again? Will I ever be able to buy a house? Will I ever be able to buy a car?” It’s comforting to know that there is life after bankruptcy and usually a pretty good life as compared to your life when you’re in bankruptcy. You will get offers for credit again. You can purchase a house within two years after filing for bankruptcy. You can purchase a car and finance it immediately after filing a bankruptcy before your case has even gone through to completion. You will get countless offers from credit card companies that I encourage you to stay away from. These are going to have annual fees, application fees, and high interest involved in those cards. The only card that I recommend is the secured credit card where you put the money on account with the book and that is your money that you’re charging against. It will be reported to the credit bureau as good credit, and you will have the convenience of plastic. I also recommend that you go on a cash basis for the next year or two after claiming bankruptcy so you see exactly what you’re spending. Studies have shown that when people have to use cash, they wind up spending less money as opposed to using credit. So there is life after bankruptcy and a very good life.

If you’re someone who needs to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy or a Chapter 13 bankruptcy case, make sure that you seek appropriate counsel. Make sure that the attorney you hire is knowledgeable and experienced in the bankruptcy process. If you do not feel comfortable with the attorney that you are meeting with, make another appointment with another bankruptcy lawyer. Each attorney has a different style; each attorney has a different price; each attorney has a different level of knowledge and experience. If you take the time to do your research and ask the right questions, you are going to find that the attorney that you’re meeting with eventually will be the one that you want to go with within a doubt.

If you are somebody who drove without insurance and you got into an auto accident and you needed to file bankruptcy solely because of that debt, then hopefully you have a situation now where you constantly have auto insurance without any lapsing. Now, this is not to say that you need the best auto insurance coverage in the world, but you need to stay on top of your coverage and make sure that it is in effect. A lot of people have let their insurance lapse and they don’t even realize that it has lapsed. So you want to correct whatever problem caused you to file bankruptcy in the first place, and I want to help make sure that you never have to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the future. I welcome your referrals, I want you to talk good about the firm, I want you to think of me when you’re rebuilding and how we helped you; but I don’t want you to be a client again after we’ve helped you before. We want to see you have success.

I know that there’s life after bankruptcy. I hear from countless clients every week who are buying houses, who are buying cars, who have turned their financial lives around. These people might have been garnished, they might have had their bank accounts seized, and now they’re able to save for their future and they’re gainfully employed once again. They took the right step and hired my bankruptcy law firm when it was time to file bankruptcy.
